Volunteering

Social interaction and meeting people is important after retirement. Volunteering is a way to stay involved in the wider community.

Volunteering has a meaningful, positive impact on your community. It is also beneficial for the person volunteering by giving them the opportunity to meet new people, keep skills active, give back to the community, develop and learn new skills and gain feelings of accomplishment.

At recycling is fun we believe that volunteering by making crafts that can be donated to charities brings a great sense of fulfillment, pride, increased confidence, sense of personal achievement and satisfaction. It feels good to make a difference to others’ lives.

There are hundreds of projects that can be made for charities in need. Some examples are sewing, knitting or crocheting blankets and soft toys for sick and elderly, children or even animals in shelter.

We invite you to visit our gallery and to get inspired by the many ideas that you can voluntarily do and then give away or sell to raise funds for your favorite charity.
