There is a large amount of scientific evidence that prove that hobbies such as making crafts are good for our health and our relationships. On a physiological level crafting has been compared to a miracle “drug” it reduces stress, the risk of heart disease, anxiety, and depression. On a Psychological level Crafts offer an opportunity for self-expression, a sense of accomplishment, mastery of a skill, self-confidence and creativity. They can provide hope, confidence, usefulness and dignity a sense of participation. A life that seemed empty can become fruitful and busy. Engaging in pleasurable activities calms the mind and soul, improves health and morale!

Another important aspect of our program is that it encourages the use of recycled materials when making crafts. This is important because it guarantees that the person can do it, without the economic burden of having to buy materials. But it also creates environmental awareness. Reuse is the most important aspect of the waste hierarchy. We have found thousands of creative ways to reuse common household materials. Reusing materials makes Recycling Fun, easy and affordable!
Revolutionizing the View on Crafts:
Crafts are not new; they have been around for hundreds of years and today they are still used often in schools with young children and in retirement homes as an activity that is done for a couple of hours a week at the most, but with no mayor far-reaching implications for the person involved.We believe that Crafts have to be seen in a totally different way. We want to revolutionize how Crafts are viewed and implemented to have a far more reaching effect on our society. There are many obstacles to overcome people tend to have a predisposal to the idea of making crafts, believing it is for a selected few, those with talent and money. There is also a general idea that is something not important and worthwhile.
A novel approach to making crafts:
It is important to have access to a wide range of materials and ideas at all times. To makes spaces in community centers, organizations, and at home to be able to continuously create. A big part of what puts people off is the lack of variety and options that they are given when approaching crafts. To idea is to inspire people to fill their day with these pleasurable activities, to be able to continue doing them and not to relegate them to an activity done just once a week.

Crafts should be tailored for any age group, degree of ability, mobility and capacity.
Crafts should encourage relationship building between the generations (Mother-Child, Grandparents and Grandchildren).
Crafts done with recyclable materials make them affordable for everyone!
No talent is required: There is no such thing as right or wrong. With crafts, making the item, not the end result, is paramount.
